U4GM Diablo 4 Blood Wave guide for Season 13

Been running Blood Wave again in Season 13 and imo most people are still building it like it's an old Overpower meme. It's not. Once I got the cooldown loop online, plus a couple missing pieces I ended up grabbing from Diablo 4 Items, the whole build went from clunky to absolutely cracked in Torment. I tested it in Pit pushes and Hordes last night, and the difference was obvious fast. The Lord of Hatred meta really favors this setup way more than people were saying a week ago.

What I've been seeing
I know everyone's been spamming Spiritborn and the usual Necro stuff, but Blood Wave is slapping right now. Not just for clear either. Boss damage is dumb if you're converting it with Aspect of Ultimate Shadow and stacking Shadowblight instead of trying to force pure Blood scaling. That's the part I think a lot of people miss. The build isn't about one big cast anymore. It's about turning one cast into stacked wave hits, ground damage, orb pickups, then getting the cooldown back before the screen even settles. I can't verify the exact trillion-damage claims people keep throwing around, but tbh it did feel ridiculous once everything lined up.

Why it actually works
Thing is, Fastblood is pretty much the whole engine. If you don't have it, don't judge the build yet. Blood Orbs are doing way more work than people give them credit for. Blood Wave makes orbs, orbs shave the Ultimate cooldown, then dense packs feed the loop again. In my runs, that's why Infernal Hordes felt easier than some lower-density Pit floors. More mobs, more orbs, more waves. And when you mix in Decrepify, Lucky Hit stuff, and some Hemorrhage uptime, it starts feeling borderline infinite. I also noticed Bone Prison setup mattered more than I expected. Group them tight, freeze or slow them first, then send the wave. Massive difference.

Here's the part people won't like
Ngl, this build feels mid until your gear stops being trash. I saw a lot of Reddit posts saying Blood Wave is dead, but half those players were missing cooldown reduction or trying to force it too early. Kessime's Legacy is a huge spike. So is Bloodless Scream if you're leaning hard into the Shadow version. Once I got both, clear speed jumped immediately and I stopped having those awkward dead windows where you're just jogging around waiting for the button to come back. I haven't tested every charm combo yet, but Black Shroud Charm with Path of Darkness upgrades felt better than the generic setups most guides push.

My take
So yeah, my honest take is Blood Wave Necro is one of the best all-around Necro builds in Season 13 if you've got the pieces and aren't afraid of a setup-heavy playstyle. It's tankier than people think, the screen control is nasty, and it farms Torment way faster than my old Bone Spear setup did. If you're still stuck gearing, I also had decent luck filling gaps through a Mythic Prankster Dungeon Carry Run when my RNG was being a clown, and that helped me get back into actual testing instead of endless grind. Curious what everyone else thinks. If your Blood Wave Necro feels clunky in Season 13, it's usually missing Fastblood or Kessime's Legacy to keep the Blood Orb cooldown loop going. I grabbed a couple pieces through U4GM at https://www.u4gm.com/diablo-4/items and the build finally started feeling almost infinite in Pit runs.
